The fresh week of Bigg Boss 14 started off on a power-packed note. The war of words between Jaan Kumar Sanu and Rahul Vaidya began with the nomination task that took place on Monday. It started off when Rahul named Jaan for eviction on the grounds of nepotism. He said he hates nepotism. Soon, social media and fans of the show were left divided. While some supported Rahul for showing Jaan the mirror, the others found the topic of nepotism unnecessary and stood by Jaan's side. One of them who supported Jaan was Gauahar Khan.
Gauahar, who was seen in Bigg Boss 14 as a 'toofani senior' for over two weeks, tweeted that Jaan should be proud of his father Kumar Sanu and prouder that he is on the show as his own self. "Nepotism is the easiest topic to rake up some self attention these days ! #JaanKumarSanu be proud of the legend u have as a father , n prouder of the fact that u r on the show as Jaan kumar sanu ! You are You ! Don’t worry be happy !" Gauahar wrote.

Rahul started off the conversation by nominating Jaan on the grounds of nepotism. He further said that he doesn't need a famous father to be successful. Jaan reacted by saying, "I am fortunate to be the son of Kumar Sanu." As the matter escalated, Jaan yelled at Rahul saying, "Baap pe mat jaa." Not just the audience, the other housemates were left surprised and shocked. Rahul also argued with Rubina Dilaik, Jasmin Bhasin, Pavitra Punia and Nishant Singh Malkani over the same issue.
