Poonam Pandey, the model and part-time actress who set the virtual world afire with bold and daring videos and pictures on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, has apparently made a film titled Love in A Taxi. Peeping Moon.com, which came into possession of a leaked teaser of this, is seeking information from Poonam about the film. The teaser shows her on the back seat of a moving cab, provocatively attired in a cleavage plunging black outfit, sinful red lips puffing away at a cigarillo, as the night zips by outside.

The teaser of Poonam’s Love in A Taxi bears no semblance to the 1980 Hollywood romance by the same name between a Jewish New York cabbie and an African-American bank clerk. Poonam is shown texting on her phone one moment and then jiggling her booty to music in the next. The teaser, which hides more of the controversial starlet than it shows, leaves the viewer wondering where Poonam is going with this film. Its title, Love in A Taxi, comes up at the end and hints at a mysterious journey Poonam takes and what transpires in the span on one night.

Before this, Poonam was seen in the teen-coming-of-age film Nasha in 2013 in which she plays a school teacher who (expectedly) has a sexual relationship with a student. She also did a couple of Kannada and Telugu films but remains a struggler on the fringes of Bollywood. While film stardom has undoubtedly evaded her, there can be no denying the fact that Poonam is hot property of the Internet. She burst onto the scene in 2011 by appearing in 29 calendars after making her presence felt at the 2010 Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest.

But, perhaps, Poonam’s greatest claim to fame was her tantalizing promise to M. S. Dhoni’s Team India in 2011 that she would strip for them if they won the World Cup that year. India went on to beat Sri Lanka and clinch the World Cup but Poonam Pandey could not deliver on her promise because of strong public disapproval. She later claimed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had shot down her plan. She attempted to make peace with cricket aficionados by posting a semi-nude picture of herself on social media as a 'Motivational Surprise' for Team India during the India v/s England series later in the year.
