Everyone’s talking about Salman and Ranveer coming together for Dhoom 4

What happens if and when the big screen’s biggest superstar Salman Khan and its most loved livewire Ranveer Singh come together? The screen will be on fire!

The news is far from confirmed, but even the buzz of these two heroes coming together is spreading excitement galore in B-town circles. The duo is rumoured to collaborate for the fourth instalment of Yash Raj Films' Dhoom, which guarantees audiences a stylish action-packed ride.

John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan have all set hearts racing in this scintillating franchise. Going forward, names like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman were reportedly in the running. However, now it appears that YashRaj head honcho Aditya Chopra has all but signed on Salman for the lead. Adi and Salman have apparently been discussing the film for over a year but it was only post the release of Race 3 last Friday that the deal was virtually sealed.

Returning to helm Dhoom 4 after having directed the third instalment starring Aamir, is Vijay Krishna Acharya. The director is currently completing the shoot of Thugs of Hindostan, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan.

Of course, the biggest talking point is that Ranveer Singh could also be a key part of Dhoom 4. Don’t forget, Ranveer is very close to YRF, who gave him his break in films, and remains devoted to Adi Chopra. He could well give the film a nod, provided the role does him justice.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Salman will sport long hair for the part and also flaunt a scar on his face. His character will reportedly be similar to that of Aamir and Hrithik Roshan in the earlier Dhoom films. The film is expected to start shooting early 2019 in Dubai and will hit screens in 2020.

A spokesperson from YRF has denied all talk of Dhoom 4, claiming that work on the franchise hasn’t started yet and there is no truth to the rumours. However, insiders claim it is just a matter of time before Adi Chopra ties up all the loose ends and makes a formal announcement.
