I knew I would direct her someday: Sanjay Leela Bhansali on working with Alia Bhatt in Inshallah

Ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to bring a fresh pairing of Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in his next film titled Inshallah. The lead actors announced the epic romance drama on their social media handles recently and shared their excitement to work with each other as well.

Now as fans are gearing up to witness them together on screen, Sanjay talked about discovering Inshallah's leading lady in Alia. Calling her a 'talented actor', he told a leading daily that he knew he would direct her someday. Although he was already impressed with Alia's choice of projects, he wanted to approach her only with a script that does justice to her caliber. "As a director, it's always a pleasure to work with actors of their calibre, but best things happen when the time is right. Today, when the time felt right and the right roles came along, we decided to walk on this new journey," SLB added.

Meanwhile, he is also collaborating with his Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam actor after a hiatus of 20 years. Talking about his fondness for Salman, Sanjay concluded, "I have a working relationship with Salman, which is for keeps. There were many times in the past that we wanted to come together for a project, but finally, after 20 years, the right script came along. I am happy to be directing Salman again."

Although the project details have been kept under wraps, it is touted that the film will go on floors in September this year.
