Shah Rukh Khan who is in China for the special screening of his film Zero at the Beijing International Film Festival made his fans a lot more hopeful with his amazing ideas about finding a way to link together both Indian and Chinese cultures. SRK proposed a co-production of films that highlight family values that is pretty common in both cultures. In an interview with a Chinese channel, SRK said that cinema and art transcend geographical boundaries and speak to people beyond language barriers. He said, “Maybe we could do a film about Indian and Chinese superheroes... It will be really nice."
According to reports, Shah Rukh said, “We should work on the story that everybody wants to do. An India China co-production should not be based on making an expensive movie. Rather it should be based on a better story... It should be about our family values, our culture, our own feelings that should make this film; in which there is a message because emotionally we are connected to both the people of the country. The future of films is in co-production. Films should go ahead with entertainment, should go beyond business. Movies are a valuable item, whose future is very bright.”

While speaking about the change in films over the years, SRK insisted on the fact that family values and people’s feelings are the same and have not changed. He even spoke about the language barriers and offered a solution too. He said, “We have also grown up seeing very good Chinese movies, whose English dubbing was very bad. The story of India and Chinese films is one - messages, emotions, sentiments and family values are one.”

Giving his Chinese fans something to hope for; he said that he is open to working in a Chinese film provided he can learn Mandarin quickly. Talking about starring in a Chinese film, he said, “I would not like someone to dub for me, I will rather play a quiet guy who only sings and dances.” He also reminisced that he grew up watching Chinese kung-fu films and he would be very happy to be a part of Chinese production in some way.
