Arbaaz Khan has addressed his divorce with former wife Malaika Arora during an interview with an eminent journalist and said that “things” don’t end up working out at times. “Everything seemed fine but it crumbled. Things don’t work out, and it’s only fair that two people who want to take their life in their own hands will take that decision,” Arbaaz said during the interview.
Arbaaz and Malaika married in 1998 and divorced in 2017. Speaking of marriage, Arbaaz said, “This institution has gone on for hundreds and thousands of years. It’s like if you know that you’re going to die, you won’t stop living. Of course, the times are changing, even in the past people didn’t get married.”
Malaika, in fact, had also spoken of her divorce with Arbaaz on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s radio show and said that she had thought over the decision of separation and finally decided to go ahead with it because both of them were “extremely unhappy” and their relationship was affecting everybody else.
“We eventually did think about a lot of things and weighed every single pro and con. And then we decided, it’s better off that we move our separate ways because we’d just be better people. Because we were two people in a situation making each other extremely unhappy which was impacting everybody else’s life around us,” Malaika had said.
Meanwhile, both Malaika and Arbaaz have moved on in their respective personal lives. While she is reportedly dating Arjun Kapoor, Arbaaz is in a relationship with model Georgia Andriani. Both often make public appearances with their respective partners at events and, in and around Mumbai.

Several reports also suggest that Malaika and Arjun will get married soon but she has consistently dismissed rumours as such.
