Shah Rukh Khan to play the antagonist in Vijay's 'Thalapathy 63'? Details inside

It is not unknown that Shah Rukh Khan is all set to make his South debut with Atlee's Thalapathy 63, which also stars Vijay. But ever since the news has spread, his fans have been wanting to know what role would he be playing in the action film. In fact, speculations were rife that Shah Rukh would have an extended cameo in the film. However, we now hear that it isn't just a cameo but Shah Rukh will be seen as a villain in the film.

"SRK has a prominent character that he's playing in Thalapathy 63. It's not like his other cameos. In fact, he is the main villain who comes in the picture only towards the climax. He has a good 15 minutes odd role, fighting Vijay. The makers wanted a leading face from the Hindi film industry to shoot for the role and when Atlee approached Shah Rukh for it, he agreed on principle to do it," an entertainment portal quoted a source closely associated with the project as saying.

Reportedly, SRK will soon be shooting his scenes for Thalapathy 63. "It's a four-five day shoot and the team is figuring whether to film the scenes in Chennai or in Mumbai itself," the source added. Not to forget, rumours of Shah Rukh and Atlee working together on a Hindi film too have also been floating ever since they were also spotted chilling together during one of the IPL matches in Chennai.

Meanwhile, on the work front, SRK was last seen in Aanand L Rai's Zero, which failed to create an impact at the box-office.
