He’s very creative and I hope he becomes an actor one day: Ananya Panday on Aryan Khan's Bollywood debut

Shah Rukh Khan's and Gauri Khan's eldest son Aryan Khan is one of the hottest and spiciest topics of gossip in B-Town. The 22-year-old lad, for quite a long time, has been the subject of discussion regarding his much-awaited and speculated Bollywood debut and fans of Shah Rukh are now in desperation to watch the next generation of the family cast his magic onscreen. Aryan, who is currently studying filmmaking in New York, seems to have no interest in following his father's steps into acting but will make a career in directing. However, his sister Suhana Khan's childhood friend Ananya Panday strongly believes that Aryan should become an actor one day. Ananya, who is currently gearing for the release of her next film Pati, Patni Aur Woh, during an interview with a media agency, told, given the fact that Aryan is a creative person and a good writer, he should consider being in front of the cameras.

“Aryan is more inclined towards direction, which I think he’s great at. He’s very creative, he’s a very good writer, very witty and smart. He did Simba’s voiceover so well! So selfishly I’d like to say I hope he becomes an actor one day,” Ananya told during the interview.

Talking about Aryan, he was the voice behind Simba's character in the Hindi version of The Lion King while Shah Rukh was Mufasa. During the latter's appearance on David Letterman's Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman, said, "He looks nice, he is tall but I don’t think he has what it takes perhaps and he realised it himself. But he is a good writer. I think wanting to become an actor has to come from within. It is something that you really feel like doing and wanting to do and then find a set of skills or learn it. I think I realised it from him when he said that. He came and said, ‘I don’t think I want to act’. And his issue was very practical and honest. He told, ‘Every time I’ll be compared to you. So if do well, it will not be because of the skills I got, it will be ‘Oh obviously, he is his son so he will do well'. If I don’t do well, it’ll always be, ‘My God, look at him what his father did and look at him, what is he doing’’. So he said ‘I don’t want to be in that position."

Pati, Patni Aur Woh is directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Juno Chopra, T-Series and B.R Films. Apart from Ananya, the film stars Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. It is scheduled to release on December 6, 2019.
