The upcoming sports biopic titled '83 has been the most anticipated film of 2020. Based on the historic win of the Indian cricket team against West Indies in 1983 under the captaincy of Kapil Dev, the project finds itself amidst extreme fanfare much before its release. Ever since the first look of Ranveer Singh as Kapil from the project came upfront, fans have been waiting to watch the magic unveil on screen. Now, after unveiling the much-awaited logo and the look posters of Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar and Jiiva as Krishnamachari Srikkanth aka K Srikkanth, the makers, on Monday, released Saqib Saleem's poster as Mohinder Amarnath.
Dressed in a cricketer's uniform, Saqib looks sharp and smart, just like Mohinder aka Jimmy. "Courage of a Lion. Nerves of Steel. The Indomitable Comeback King of India. Presenting @saqibsaleem as MOHINDER ‘JIMMY’ AMARNATH," wrote Ranveer while sharing the poster.
'83 traces the historic victory of the Indian cricket team during the 1983 world cup. The Kabir Khan directorial is being presented by Anil Dhirubhai Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment. '83 also features Ammy Virk, Hardy Sandhu, and Chirag Patil among others. Deepika Padukone stars as Ranveer's onscreen wife, Romi Dev. Touted to be the biggest sports film of all time, ‘83 is being co-produced by Madhu Mantena, Sajid Nadiadwala and Reliance Entertainment. The film is scheduled to release on April 10, 2020, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
