Watch: Shah Rukh Khan requests citizens to adhere to Social Distancing and Self-Isolation amid Coronavirus Outbreak

PM Narendra Modi urged the citizens of India to observe self-isolation, social distancing and a Junta Curfew on March 22 in his address last night in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak. Several Bollywood celebs like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar, Twinkle Khanna came forward to applaud the government’s initiative in keeping the deadly virus at bay. Today, Shah Rukh also came forward and appealed to his fans and followers on social media to adhere to the guidelines and refrain from venturing out in public.

He posted a video on Instagram wherein he appealed for following strict safety measures and asked his fans to remain under self-isolation for the next few days as they are extremely ‘crucial’ and lending his support to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray's address today. He also tweeted his support to PM Narendra Modi’s initiative and wrote, “It’s imp 2 reduce social interaction 2 minimum. Self Quarantine. The idea of #JanataCurfew on Sunday is a means to this end & we should continue this concept at a personal level as much as we can & more. We need to ‘slow down time’ to arrest the virus spread. Be safe & healthy all.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address stated that people should not step out of their homes until it is absolutely essential, adding that everyone should observe Janta Curfew on 22nd March from 7 AM to 9 PM.
