Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput are one of the most sought after couples in tinsel town. Not just their sweet chemistry but the bonding they share with each other's family has won hearts too. The relationship Mira shares with Shahid's mother Neliima Azeem is all things unconditional and endearing and their social media accounts are proof. A doting mother-in-law and a loving grandmother, Neliima can be rightfully called the happiest person. Talking about her daughter-in-law and a complete family, the actress-dancer, during an interview with an entertainment portal, Neliima called Mira the most 'undramatic person' she has ever known. She further added that she filled the void of a daughter and got the family together. Gushing over Mira, Neliima said she has made Shahid a happy person.
"She’s the most undramatic person I know. Since we are all actors, we are extremely dramatic. I have never had a daughter, so Mira is my daughter. She has got the entire family together. The amount of love, and happiness she’s given to Shahid and all of us, is beautiful. I got to know from everyone that she’s the chosen one. Shahid was extremely shy in the beginning and he wanted to see how I react. So when I met her with her mother, I just felt she is so carefree, so sweet, young. Mujhe laga yeh toh ekdam bachchi hai, kitni pyaari si bholi si. But then, she took on the mantle to be the wife to a successful star and surprised all of us. The public persona that she has, the way she handles herself in front of everyone, she’s done it so well. And most importantly, she has made Shahid so happy. And Ishaan and my family seems complete now," Neliima told.
Shahid and Mira tied the knot on July 7, 2016, with close family and friends in attendance. The couple embraced parenthood with Misha Kapoor on August 26, 2016, and then welcomed Zain Kapoor on September 5, 2018.
