In March this year, reports of Vaani Kapoor joining the cast of Akshay Kumar's Bell Bottom did the rounds. Announcing her collaboration with the superstar for the espionage thriller set in the '80, the actress sent all into a zone of excitement by sharing stunning pictures. Vaani, on Instagram, today, shared two pictures with Akshay and said she can't wait to start shooting. In a statement to media, Vaani spoke about working with Akshay and sharing the screen space with him. She hoped that the team's excitement will reflect beautifully onscreen.
"I am elated to share screen space with Akshay sir. I am also thrilled to partner with the whole team who have already made me feel at home at this initial stage of our film. Hoping that this excitement will translate beautifully on screen," Vaani told.
Jackky Bhagnani, the producer of Bell Bottom, told in a statement that Vaani has a meaty role in the film and said he is confident that the actress will ace it. "Vaani is an intelligent and effective actor and I have loved all her performances. The female lead in Bellbottom has to be in sync with Akshay sir’s screen persona. The role is meaty and I am confident that Vaani will ace this one," Jackky told.
A few days ago, Akshay and Vaani were clicked outside Bell Bottom's production house Pooja Entertainment 's office. Dressed in black, the actors were seen exiting the premise.
Bell Bottom, directed by Ranjit M Tewari, is produced by Pooja Entertainment in association with Enmmay Entertainment. The story is written by Aseem Arora and Pervez Shaikhand. The film is yet to go on floors. Bell Bottom is scheduled to release on April 2, 2021.
