Lights, camera, masks on: Akshay Kumar and 'Bell Bottom' team begins the shoot in Scotland

Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi, along with the team of their upcoming film Bell Bottom travelled to the United Kingdom on August 6 to begin the shoot. Following the guidelines laid by the Government amid pandemic, they were quarantined at a hotel for fourteen days. Now, post completing quarantine, Akshay, along with the cast and crew started shooting today. Bell Bottom is the first Bollywood film to go on floors post the lockdown.  

Akshay, who will reportedly play a spy in the espionage thriller set in the '80s, shared a video with clapboard on his social media. "Lights, Camera, Mask On and ActionFollowing all the new norms and filming on for #BellBottom! It’s a difficult time but work has to go on. Need your love and luck," the superstar wrote while sharing the video. As Bell Bottom goes on floors, the producers and Akshay have made sure that everyone on sets is safe and is taken care of. Also, the crew is equipped with instruments that keep a check on oxygen level, body temperature, heart rate etc.

Bell Bottom, directed by Ranjit M Tewari, is produced by Jackky Bhagnani's, Vashu Bhagnani's and Deepshikha Deshmukh's Pooja Entertainment in association with Emmay Entertainment. The story written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh is said to be inspired by true events. Bell Bottom will release on April 2, 2021.
