Junaid will star in a YRF historical that will be directed by Siddharth P Malhotra. Malhotra's film is said to be based on a true event. It was also said that the theatre actor was not selected in the remake of the Malayalam film, Ishq. However, the news is untrue! We hear that Junaid was never in the running for the role and was not approached.

Earlier, while speaking about Junaid entering films, Aamir had told a news agency, “It is up to him (about making his film debut). He should lead his own life and take his own decisions. I don't want to take it for him. I have left it all to him. He certainly has an inclination towards the creative world and towards filmmaking. He is following his path, he has studied theatre. He is actually more interested in theatre than films. I am allowing him to go and find his own path. That's how it should be. He is very bright."

For the unversed, Junaid has done theatre for nearly 3 years now and is looking forward to making his big Bollywood debut.
