With mask becoming an important accessory in these pandemic times, many high-end fashion labels have been fusing safety with style and unveiling their face-mask collections. From the label’s iconic signature prints to florals and others, the designers have been making quite impressionable face coverings.
Taking it a step further, French fashion house Louis Vuitton has dwelled into the sector of PPE and decided to include face shield as a part of their Cruise 2021 collection.
These face shields that can be doubled up as a peaked cap came with the brand’s monogram and featured gold studs. The face sheild aslo comprised of an elasticated strap that would fit sugly around the wearer's head. Moreover, the plastic visor is made from aphotochromatic material that would protect the wearer from a harsh sun glare. "The LV Shield makes for an eye-catching headpiece, both stylish and protective," said the company in their official statement as stated by an online website Dee Zeen.
Available from October 30, these masks would come with a hefty price tag of $961 (Rs. 70,730). Yes, you read that right. In April, the brand came up with its INR 3k dumbells so we guess nothing's ordinary when it comes to LV!
During the beginning of the pandemic, LV had launched non-surgical face masks and protective gear to curb the impact of the virus.
