Took me a while to realise I need to love my body exactly the way it is: Sameera Reddy’s 10-year-old throwback picture has a WHOLESOME message

Known for advocating fitness, mental health and body-positivity on social media, actress Sameera Reddy is back with another ‘Love thy Body’ message but with a throwback twist. Sharing a ten-year-old picture on her social media account, the actress pointed out touch-ups and flaws in her ‘imperfectly perfect’ photograph.

“Can you see the cellulite? The pimples? The loose skin on my belly? The real jawline? The real waist? Which part of my body is not touched up?” the actress questioned in her post. “Every part of it was cleaned, pulled in, tweaked, slimmed down in 2010,” she answered. It took a while for Sameera to embrace her curves and realize the importance of self-love. “A reminder that it took me a while to realize I need to love my body exactly the way it is. And no one can make you feel that comfort. Except you,” read her caption.

The actress has time and again opened up on mental health and body positivity on many occasions. She has even opened up about her struggles with postpartum depression and her emotional journey around it. Sameera’s throwback picture definitely comes with a ‘Thursday motivation’ we didn’t know we needed. More power to you!
