Asha, Dimple, Farida, Waheeda mark their presence at Shammi Aunty's prayer meet

Best remembered for her role in the 90s sitcom 'Dekh Bhai Dekh', Nargis Rabadi or fondly known as Shammi Aunty passed away on March 6. And in honour of the late actress many veteran Bollywood celebrities came pouring in at the Shok Sabha.

Asha Parekh who was among one of the closest friends of the late actress also attended the prayer meet. She recently told a leading agency, "She was close to many actresses who poured their heart out to her. With me, it was special. We had spent decades together. She was my closest friend, confidante and, after my parents' death, a guardian angel. Now she's gone."

Among the many present were veteran actresses Farida Jalal, Waheeda Rehman and Dimple Kapadia who came out to pay their respects.

Others present at the meet were Poonam Sinha, Maya Alag, Mukesh Rishi, Gajendra Chauhan, Prem Chopra and his wife, Dimple Kapadia, Dilip Joshi, Kiran Rao, Abbas Mastan, Anup Soni, Renuka Shahane, Farah Khan, Poonam Dhillon, Priya Dutt, Padmini Kolhapure, Aruna Irani, Sunil Pal, and more.
