Several Bollywood heroines signed a petition to be sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing their angst over the death threats that Deepika Padukone was facing over the film.
…And then the producer of the besieged film stopped the petition from going ahead, fearing a further backlash!
…An ominous note was struck with the body of a 40-year-old man found hanging from the outer walls of Nahargarh Fort, with the message “‘Padmavati’ ka virodh” – in protest against the film Padmavati. The matter is under investigation.
…With the film not keeping its release date of December 1, 2017, numerologist Sanjay B Jumaani advised, “Going by the science of numbers, I would like to tell the filmmakers that 12/1/2018 is the best possible date for the film’s release.” Just as long as it has a release, we say!
