A picture of Rajinikanth driving his luxury car Lamborghini Urus, wearing a mask, has gone viral on social media. The picture shows Rajinikanth driving the car wearing a face mask and his trademark white kurta and dhoti. The picture was clicked when the superstar went for a drive from his house to his farmhouse in Kelambakkam for the weekend. Apparently, the car belongs to his daughter Soundarya.
However, his travel from Chennai to Kelambakkam will be probed by Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner, G Prakash. Rajinikanth, along with his daughter Soundarya, son-in-law Vishagan Vanangamudi and grandson Ved Krishna went to their farmhouse in Kelambakkam. Their travel has come under scrutiny as many people have questioned whether the superstar and his familytook an e-pass to travel to Kelambakkam, which belongs to the Chengalpettu district as travelling between districts requires due permission in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

At a press meet today, Commissioner G Prakash was asked if an e-pass was required to travel to Kelambakkam from Chennai. To this he replied, “Yes, you need an e-pass to travel from one district to another." When asked whether Rajinikanth and his family applied for an e-pass, he said, “We'll have to enquire about this. If you pinpoint an incident or two, we will do a detailed enquiry and then address the media. Since this is specific, we will look into it." Tamil Nadu still has a general lockdown till July 31 and e-passes are provided to the people on only four accounts- medical emergencies, weddings, funerals and for stranded citizens.
Rajinikanth’s photo of driving the Lamborghini as well as with his daughter Soundarya’s family went viral on social media.The photo started trending with the hashtag #LionInLamborghini. The actor along with the rest of the family is currently spending time at their Kelambakkam farmhouse. Reportedly, he was unable to step out of his home in Poes Garden Chennai due to which the family moved to the farmhouse.
