So this happened! Our very own Queen B, Beyonce wore the same popping pink Ashi Studio couture gown at the Global Citizen Festival recently that our Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone wore to the Cannes Film Festival. The internet has been blowing up as the fans can't stop gushing and comparing the two looks in this oh-so-vogue dress. This leads to the impending question: who wore it better?
Deepika, the dramatic vixen

Deepika wore this Ashi Studio dress on the Cannes red carpet. While the dress is a hard one to miss, given the occasion, the dress was much suited and apt for the event. Big ruffles, dramatic trail and pink pumps, DP was a vision in this popping couture ensemble. We're digging the dramatic look!

Queen B sported this dress at the Global Citizen Festival. Although we'd consider this dress a little OTT for a concert, we also can justify the look as 'on fleek' given the fact that it was Beyonce who was wearing it. Also, for the unversed, Beyonce wore five other outfits, excluding this beautiful couture gown, at the same concert created by other labels such as Versace, Balmain, etc. Slay, Bey!
Damn, the glam
While Deepika opted for a wild smokey eye, high bun and minimalistic accessories, Beyonce opted for nude tones glam, curly mane and loop earrings.
Our take
While we can have our bias', we have to agree on the fact that both the divas carried this phenomenal dress with utter elegance and panache. While Deepika's look was a little more dramatic compared to Beyonce's minimalistic look, we love the contrasting takes on the same outfit.
It'll be a shame to choose one look. Instead, we plan on taking lessons from both the looks for our future #OOTD's. Till then, let's leave this moment as one to remember in the fashion critic's diary.
