Akshay Kumar has taken upon himself to bring dignity and respect to the third gender. Playing the role of a transgender in his upcoming film Laxmii, Akshay, along with his leading lady Kiara Advani shared an inspiring video yesterday and called for people to support transgenders with the Laal Bindi initiative.
Now, the actor took to Instagram to advocate how netizens can share their support for transgenders and accord them respect in society. He asked them to put up a ‘laal bindi’ on their pictures by using ‘Ab Hamari Baari Hai’ filter on Instagram. Sharing his picture and showing the way forward, he wrote, “Maine toh laga li hai pyaar aur samanta ki Laal Bindi. Now it's your turn to join me using 'Ab Hamari Baari Hai' filter on Instagram as a symbol of love and acceptance for the third gender! Filter link in bio.”

Producer Tusshar Kapoor was quick to follow and did the same by sharing a picture on Instagram. He captioned the image, “Yeh Laal Bindi sirf ek shringar nahi, par samman ki pehchaan hai! Today Akshay, Kiara, Tusshar and Shabinaa Khan have reached Delhi for the film's promotion. Laxmii is directed by Raghava Lawrence and is the remake of his southern hit Kanchana. The film is a horror-comedy and is all set to release on Disney+HotstarVIP on November 9, 2020.
