Amid the pandemic, Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter are all set to take the audience on a mad taxi ride in their upcoming film Khaali Peeli. The film directed by Maqbool Khan marks the maiden collaboration of the actors and is the first production venture of filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar. Now, as the film is inching closer to its release date, Ali, Maqbool and co-producer Himanshu Mehra spoke about Khaali Peeli in an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon.

In the interview, the trio spoke about the backlash for the song Beyonce Sharma Jayegi which was then changed to Duniya Sharma Jayegi. Stating that roping relatively new and young actors like Ananya and Ishaan has worked in favour of the script, they also got candid about reinventing of the masala entertainment genre.

Khaali Peeli will release on the OTT platform ZEEPlex on October 2, 2020.
