Animosity Alert: Akshay-Salman reunite on Bigg Boss 11 finale

There had been rumours of a fallout between Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, after the former had withdrawn from co-producing the Akshay-starrer Kesari. Akshay himself had disclosed this fact while promoting his upcoming film PadMan, confirming, “Karan Johar and I are making it. Kesari could not happen with Salman.” This had reportedly driven a wedge between the two stars; however, the show must go on and now they will reunite for the finale of season 11 of Bigg Boss. Akshay will be a special guest for the episode of the show, which is hosted by Salman. Buzz goes that the duo will be performing to one of their hit numbers, most likely the title track of their hit Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, in which they had co-starred. Incidentally, Salman and Akshay had done two more films together – Jaan-e-Mann and Tees Maar Khan, both of which were duds.

Back to the present, we will see Akshay entering the Bigg Boss house to spend time with the final three contestants. He will also allot certain tasks to them and amp up the fun factor. The episode in question will be shot in the early hours of January 14 and the winner of Season 11 will be announced that evening itself. Apparently, the Bigg Boss 11 team is also in discussions to have PadMan’s Sonam Kapoor appear on the show.

This is not the first instance of trouble brewing between Salman and Akshay. Last year, it had become very apparent that Salman tried hard to avoid Akshay at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. The tension between them was a result of the fact that Akshay had hired Salman's estranged manager Reshma Shetty. Reshma, in turn, had been doing everything she could to bag her new client the best projects in Bollywood. She had even apparently set her sights on acquiring Bigg Boss – which is Salman’s fiefdom! – for Akshay to host!

When the two dudes appear together for the finale, we will probably get to see these stars put all their acting skills to the test!
