Bigg Boss 12: ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ actress Dipika Kakar gives her nod to the show?

The most controversial reality show, Bigg Boss is all set to return with its 12th season. The makers of the show are leaving no stone unturned in making the upcoming season more exciting than the previous ones. Apparently, the BB team was keen on roping in celebrity couples as contestants; however, some extreme changes had to be made to the format at the last moment since they could not find suitable celebrity pairs for the show.

We hear that there will be no celebrity jodis as reported earlier. In fact, six single celebs will enter the house. Five commoner jodis will enter the show with five single commoners. Later on, the singles will be paired inside the house with the celebs and that is how the concept of vichitra jodis will work.

As single celebrities, TV actors Srishty Rode and Shaleen Bhanot have already been confirmed for this season. And the latest to join the bandwagon is none other than Dipika Kakar Ibrahim, popularly known as Simar from serial Sasural Simar Ka. If our sources are too believed, the pretty actress has already given her nod the reality show.

“Initially, newly married television couple Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar had been approached by the makers; however the sudden change in the format led the makers to choose any one of them. After discussing with their family members, Dipika has agreed to do the show. The dotted lines have not been signed yet; as of now, the actress has just given a verbal confirmation. The negotiation on the monetary terms is still in process,” a source close to the actress informed.

Dipika rose to fame after her stint as Simar in serial Sasural Simar Ka. She was part of the show for more than six years. Post SSK, she has also been part of other TV shows including Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai, Sajan Re Phir Jhooth Mat Bolo and Qayamat Ki Raat.

On the personal front, her marriage with Shoaib Ibrahim on February 22, 2018, had grabbed a lot of eyeballs from their fans across the country as her decision of converting from Hindu to Muslim and changing the name from Dipika to Faiza led to a lot of controversies.

Dipika will be making her Bollywood debut with JP Dutta's Paltan, all set to release on September 7, 2018.
