After much wait and anticipation, the thirteenth season of the popular controversial show Bigg Boss, hosted by Salman Khan aired its premiere episode on September 29. Before the show began, a lot was being stated about the names of the participants and with the revelation of the contestants, it seems the house will play host to diverse celebrities and strong ideologies. Amongst the thirteen contestants, Dalljiet Kaur stands as a tall and strong personality with all hearts. The actress recently went through a bitter and tough divorce with her husband, actor Shaleen Bhanot in 2015 and has a child with him named Jaydon. Speaking about her participation in the show before entering into the house, Dalljiet said this show will help her gain strength and stability. Further adding she told her stint in the show will not reflect her past and will represent her as an individual personality. Apart from this, the actress delved deeper into her participation in the show and how she will deal with the obstacles inside the house.
How are you feeling?
Dalljiet: I am very nervous. Excitement might follow but at the moment I am very nervous.
What's your strategy?
Dalljiet: I don't think there can be any strategy for a show of this style. I don't know if I go inside and start using a strategic mind but as of now with whatever I have heard and seems I don't think it's possible. I believe everybody's individuality will showcase and as and how the days pass it's going to get more candid and organic. I don't think anybody can strategies the game.
What are you looking forward to the most when it comes to this show?
Dalljiet: I think a lot of my friends have been a part of this show and they have told me one thing for sure that they became stronger. They got a crash course in knowing people, they see and understand the world in a better way now. In my life strength can definitely contribute and I am hoping that it gives me strength in a good way also I am expecting stability. It might give me more stability in life with my son. That's what I am hoping, what will happen is something that time will tell.
How are you going to deal with things if they get related to your past?
Dalljiet: I am not here to be represented by my past. I am here to represent who Dalljiet is. I have been a part of the industry for 14 long years and people have connected with me for Dalljiet, for the person that I am. Lots of love received from fans, journalists and media, so I am hoping that people are willing to see me, to know and see what Dalljiet is as a person. So, I am here as an individual and not because I have a baggage from the past. As a strong mother today, I am in a very happy space of life and that's about it, I don't have anything beyond this.

What about your son? How are you going to stay away from him and he away from you?
Dalljiet: I don't know, I have told him I am going for a competition and I will be gone got a while. He understands, he is 5 so he doesn't understand how long I will be gone. So, he is always motivating me and says 'go-go win and come, mommy, all the best, go win the competition'. I think there are a lot of people who will take care of him, my parents are there along with my sisters, my friends, they all have assured me that they will keep him busy so that he doesn't miss me. I am worried about myself honestly, that how am I going to live without him for so long. I think it will be very different and difficult for me, I have never stayed away from him ever, it's only two days when I was in Shimla shooting for Boss and he wasn't there. So that's the closest I have been to staying away from him. This is my only challenge honestly. And I am inside for him only, for a better and a stable future for him and myself. So, I am hoping that in my life and career, personally, professionally and financially I come out in a better place.
You were already doing a show when you signed Bigg Boss 13. What about that?
Dalljiet: Guddan was a character that has been loved and appreciated in a very short span of time and I was already shooting for the show when Bigg Boss was offered to me. I am very thankful to my producer Ved sir and my family because when I told them that I wanted to do this they were immensely supportive. They said that if this is good for you the go-ahead with it, when you are out of the house then join us back again. We are there in this with you. We have left it on that note. Usually, I haven't seen this in the industry that the channel and producers are okay about the artist going to another channel, but my case has been very different and I am grateful. I kind of owe it to them. It's too much love that is coming out.
How are your friends reacting?
Dalljiet: My friends are always supportive of whatever I want to do and I am glad that they have my back.

Have you seen the previous seasons of Bigg Boss?
Dalljiet: Not really, as a full-time mother and an actor I haven’t had the time to watch the seasons and episode. I have only heard a lot from my friends who have been inside the house, now let's see what happens.
