Bigg Boss 14 Press Con: ‘More than happy to cut my pay so that other people can get paid,’ says Salman Khan


Salman Khan’s fans are all geared up for the Bigg Boss 14. Today the makers of the show hosted a virtual press conference with an ‘aatmanirbhar’ Bhai who regaled with his swag and style. The pandemic has affected everyone across the globe and Salman also spoke about it during the press con. Referring to the economy going down, slashing of salaries and people being laid off, Salman also addressed the doubts about salaries being cut on the show. It was rumoured that Salman is getting a bomb for the show. However, he cleared the air on it.

He stated that he is willing to cut down his fees so that others in their team can get their respective remuneration. Salman made this statement while speaking to the producer of the show who stated that they are paying full salary to people associated with the show even through the waiting period. He said, “I feel Bigg Boss 14 mere liye means employment. People are back to basics - only way Bigg Boss 14 can give it back to 2020 by kama kar (by earning)."

He further said, "You can’t escape work. You gotta earn. Increase GDP. Daily necessities afford kar payenge. KAAM KARNA ZARURI HAI, be careful, but kaam nahi kiya toh khane peene ka issue hojaega (It is important to work, be careful, but if you don’t work you will not be able to provide for you family). I am more than happy to cut my pay so that other people can get paid.”

Bigg Boss 14 will premiere on Colors TV on October 3.
