Bigg Boss 14: 'His mom has raised them well,' says Kumar Sanu taking back his statement on son Jaan Kumar Sanu's 'upbringing'

Bigg Boss 14 contestant Jaan Kumar Sanu irked Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) with a comment on the Marathi language. Soon, his father, veteran singer Kumar Sanu issued a video statement and justified that Mumbai and Maharashtra made him what he is today and he could never belittle the language. In addition, he questioned the upbringing Jaan's mother Rita Bhattacharya gave him post separation. Now, days later, the ace singer took back his statement and called his son a 'good person'. In a new video statement, Kumar Sanu said Rita raised him well and did everything that she could do for their son. He clarified that he wasn't happy with Jaan's decision to participate in the show and the budding singer did it all by himself without any influence.

"My son Jaan is a very good person in real life. He has a very helping nature, but because of the situation inside the Bigg Boss house, he is under pressure. During such challenging times and pressure you tend to say things which you don't say in normal life. He is too young. His mom has raised them well and all that she could do for them as a mother. I was never happy with his decision of going inside the Bigg Boss house. In fact, whenever he told me about the decision, I always told him I don't like it and you shouldn't go. But ultimately it was his choice as he has been a huge fan of the show. He himself auditioned for it and I didn’t do anything for him in this matter. I didn’t help him in this at all," Kumar Sanu told.

He further touched upon Rahul Vaidya's nepotism comment and urged that they should be cordial with each other. "I would definitely want to say one thing to Rahul Vaidya. You are like my son and you sing really well. I have heard your voice and I know you are a good singer. I feel if someone's parents are separated and you keep making that person realise that pain again and again. So surely the person will get hurt and after a point, that person will also react to it. I think as a singer I felt really insulted after hearing all that was said. It is a very normal process according to me that if two people don’t get along and they get separated. They take divorce or start living separately. But if you leave the game aside and start attacking the personal life of someone then that is not good. I know you are a good singer and you are like my son. So I really want both of you to be in the game. You two should stay together with love and understanding. I feel two singers can be good friends. I think when you drag someone's personal life it is not good. I felt really hurt when after 40 years, my personal life was dragged in to fight. I know my son must have also done something wrong, but please stay together. Best of luck to both of you," he concluded.
