The Disco Night continued in the latest episode of Bigg Boss 14 and the contestants danced their way to become the captain of the house. While new bonds in the house are getting stronger, some old friendships are at stake. 

Thursday night's episode was all about Aly Goni becoming the new captain of the house and Nikki Tamboli provoking him by breaking the rules of the house. 

Here are the top 10 highlights from the Day 40 of Bigg Boss 14:

- As the task progressed, the contestants strategized their next move more carefully and made allies among each other. Aly who got offended by Nikki’s comment took taken it up on his ego and as he wanted to become the next captain of the house.

- He then made allies with Rahul Vaidya and took assurances from him to make him the next captain of the house. Seeing Aly and Rahul plan their moves, Pavitra Punia got agitated and questioned Rahul’s loyalties.

- Pavitra could not stand the fact that Aly and Rahul, whom she considered as her friends, were plotting against her. She then decides to stand strong and alone win the task. . Even  Shardul and Nikki were not happy with the fact that they were not even being considered in the race for captaincy.

- To continue the entertainment in the house, popular music composer Sachin Trivedi and sensational singer Shaan kept the party going. Shaan’s romantic numbers had the contestants in a trance as they grooved to his songs. Sachin, too, had the dance floor on fire as he beled out ‘Beat Pe Booty’!

- In the next round, Nikki was removed from the task and later Shardul and Pavitra quit the task as they found it unfair. 

- Abhinav, Jasmin and Aly remained in the game but another person was also to be kicked out again by majority votes and Abhinav stepped away. Eventually, Aly became the captain and the next sequence we got to see was a heated discussion between him and Nikki as she was breaing a rule – sleeping when the lights were on.

- Nikki kept irritating Aly by breaking the rules intentionally and proving his captaincy bad. Aly tried to explain to her in a cool manner but she did not listen to him at all. 

- Aly kept requesting Nikki to get up but she claimed she was unwell. Aly asked her to talk to Bigg Boss and get a doctor. He did not fight, but tried a few tricks like pulling her blanket, pulling her out of bed and even splashing some water on her face.

- The next day Rahul and Eijaz got over a fight on daily hygiene where Eijaz asked Rahul to not shave where they wash the dishes! Rahul stayed adamant and said he will do as he chooses.

- The episode ended on a light note with Aly and his friends being happy for him and Nikki being annoyed because of Aly's captaincy win.
