After an emotionally heavy and tiring week, Bigg Boss 14 contestants Jasmin Bhasin, Nikki Tamboli, Abhinav Shukla, Pavitra Punia, Rahul Vaidya, Shardul Pandit, Aly Goni, Eijaz Khan, Rubina Dilaik, Jaan Kumar Sanu and Kavita Kaushik met Salman Khan on Saturday's Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Salman wished everyone on the occasion of Diwali and schooled the housemates.
The episode was all about emotions, understanding the game and loads of fun. Abhinav and Rubina, who are in jail, were allowed to come out for a brief time to meet Salman. However, they couldn't participate in tasks.
Here are the top 10 highlights from the Day 42 of Bigg Boss 14:
- The episode began with a task wherein the housemates had to give each other the title of Rocket, Phuski Bomb and Chakri. The majority of them name Aly as the Rocket of the house, Jasmin as Chakri and Nikki as Phuski Bomb. Pavitra and Eijaz argued after he didn't give her the title of Rocket.
- Salman arrived on the stage and lit diyas. After wishing all, he met the contestants through MeTV. He asked Aly, who is the captain, to allow Abhinav and Rubina to join the housemates for the grilling session. Talking about the jail task, Salman reprimanded Abhinav, Rubina and Jasmin for sugarcoating their words while nominating Eijaz and Jaan. He said they should have directly told why they deserve to be punished.
- The caller of the week spoke to Eijaz.
- Kavita told Salman that Eijaz uses abusive words. She further added that the actor complains of backache, injury, etc when it comes to household duties but has no issues while working out in the gym. She also accused him of using the same cuss words for which she faced Salman's wrath previously.
- Salman talked about the nomination task. He reprimanded Aly for giving away Jasmin's favourite soft toy, Dollu, to save Abhinav from eviction. After pulling Jasmin's leg, Salman said the housemates didn't play the task sensibly but got emotional. Salman, in a funny way, told Jasmin to not talk about her Khatron Ke Khiladi stint. He said she should rather focus on her Bigg Boss game. Salman further told Abhinav that his decision to save Kavita felt influenced after he looked at Rubina before agreeing to the conditions. Abhinav apologised.
- On the occasion of Diwali, the housemates received gifts from their families. However, only a few of them could avail them. Since Abhinav and Rubina were in jail, they couldn't participate in the task. Aly, being the captain, had to decide who will get their gifts. Rahul received the traditional clothes sent by his parents. With tears in his eyes, Rahul said this is the first time he is celebrating Diwali without them. Pavitra broke down and said she realised the importance and value of family. She promised to never take parents for granted. On receiving her gift, Nikki couldn't hold back her tears, She said she is staying away from her parents for 3 years. Jaan got emotional on receiving a gift from his mother. Aly broke down on receiving a photo frame and cushion with a picture.
- Salman welcomed Sudhaa Chandran, Monalisa, Surbhi Jyoti and Mahima Makwana on the stage for a special Diwali segment. Sudhaa and Monalisa were representing vamps and negativity while Surbhi and Mahima were favouring happiness and positivity. The actress participated in a fun competition and did thumkas with Salman on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo song.
- Sudhaa, Monalisa, Surbhi and Mahima entered the house to play a game with the housemates. Inside the house, they gave the first task to Eijaz and Kavita. They had to build a castle with paper cups and the other contestant had to destroy it by throwing balls. Eijaz won the task and got a special message from his sister.
- Nikki and Rahul entertained with their task. The former won the round and received a blanket sent by her mother. Monalisa teased Rahul about Disha Parmar and said he has received a reply from 'someone'. Rahul seemed excited but she didn't handover the chit to him.
- Rubina and Kavita gave a wonderful dance performance.
