The second week of 2021 began on an emotional note as Bigg Boss hosted its family week. Bigg Boss 14 contestants Eijaz Khan, Jasmin Bhasin, Rakhi Sawant, Rubina Dilaik, Abhinav Shukla, Arshi Khan, Rahul Mahajan, Vikas Gupta, Nikki Tamboli, Aly Goni, Rahul Vaidya and Sonali Phogat were all seen breaking down as some contestants met their family members. 

Here are the top 10 highlights from Day 96 of Bigg Boss 14:

- The day started with the captaincy task's continuation. Sonali Phogat and Aly Goni got into an argument over who to call next. After a lot of discussions, they called Vikas Gupta. He ate the red apple and replaced Aly.

- Sonal, Eijaz, Vikas, Rakhi and Arshi discussed that green will be poison. They all were seen plotting against Aly and team. Soon, Bigg Boss announced that the next buzzer would be the last buzzer. Vikas wanted to give Rakhi a chance while Sonali wanted to give Eijaz a chance. Later, they called Rakhi who ate a red apple.

- She removed Vikas from captaincy's race. Bigg Boss announced that Rakhi and Sonali will be pitted against each other for captaincy.

- Arshi apologised to Aly for her comments. Rubina was seen talking to Sonali about Vikas forming an alliance with her. She told Rubina that this is the reason she is called the Mastermind.

- Next day, housemates woke up on a high note. Rakhi was seen talking to Aly and Rahul about her Pardesiya days when boys used to be mad about her. Later, Jasmin accused Rakhi of instigating her despite giving her a lot of love.

- When Rakhi asked her to forget it, she said that she can't as she has seen her real face. In the kitchen area, Eijaz got annoyed with Arshi and asked her to stop provoking him. Vikas asked Arshi to stop troubling Eijaz but soon they got into a fight. 

- Soon Bigg Boss announced the family week and gave a total Talktime of only 100 minutes for all contestants to meet their family members. The rule was that they could not have equal talk time. Housemates were seen getting emotional at the mention of their family.

-Nikki Tamboli's mother was the first one to enter the BB house. She got eight minutes of talk time. She was crying bitterly after seeing her mother through the glass wall. She burst into tears as soon as she saw her mother. She complained to her mother that she is alone in the house and said that all her housemates are being fake with her and that any bond she is trying to establish doesn't work. 

-Next, Shilpa Saklani arrived as Abhinav Shukla's family. She called Abhinav her ‘Jungle Boy’ and said that she is proud of both Abhinav and Rubina about how they are playing the game.

- Next, Aly got ten minutes to meet his family. He conversed with his sister Ilhan Goni over a video call and got very emotional. She apologised for not being able to come to meet him. She also gave Aly and Jasmin’s relationship a thumbs up. This left Jasmin in happy tears. The episode ended on a happy but emotional note.
