In an episode of Bigg Boss 14 aired on January 26, contestant Vikas Gupta went on to reveal personal details to co-contestants after an argument with Arshi Khan. The creative producer had a bare-it-all moment when he spoke about having debts of Rs. 1.8 crore. Not just this, Vikas claimed that his mother, Sharda Gupta, used him for his property and how Arshi blackmailed him. He also accused her of torturing him by teaming up with his mother.  This revelation of Vikas clearly didn't go down well with Arshi's family. A friend of the Bigg Boss 14 participant, Flynn Remedios, told an entertainment portal that her family is planning to send a show cause notice to Vikas and his mother for defaming her.

"Arshi's family is upset about these blackmail claims. Yes, they did talk at times but she never blackmailed him. We are planning to send a show cause notice for defamation to Vikas Gupta and his mother, Sharda. We have consulted Advocate CA Ambani of Goregaon (East) in this matter. They are guiding us in the matter. Arshi Khan's family is from Bhopal and does not know how to handle such matters," Flynn told.

Arshi, in the past, had told Vikas on the show that she knows her family secrets. Reacting to the same, Mrs. Gupta told in an interview, "I have no clue what Arshi Khan is talking about. Yes, I did speak to her two-and-a-half years back but there was nothing personal that I shared with her that she is using it against Vikas. Don’t know it might be her game plan but I never spoke anything with Arshi Khan whatsoever that she is accusing Vikas and there is such a big issue made out of it."
