Karan Johar's Bigg Boss OTT Launch Live Update: Meet all the 13 contestants of the reality show

Promising over the top drama, craziness and fun, Karan Johar finally launched Bigg Boss OTT on Voot and Voot Select today. The grand premiere took place today and the filmmaker introduced the contestants of the show. For 6 weeks, they will be competing against each other. The top contestants of Bigg Boss OTT, the first digital edition of the reality show, will get a chance to enter Bigg Boss 15, which will be hosted by Salman Khan on Colors. 

As far as the promo goes, it appears that Bigg Boss OTT will have no harsh rules and regulations. In fact, making it more audience-friendly, the makers have gone for an interactive format. The audience, might, have the power to have a say in tasks and exit from the show. This time also, Omung Kumar has come on board to design the set. Giving it a bohemian touch, the filmmaker added bunk beds and many more interesting elements. 

The theme of Bigg Boss OTT is Stay Connected. He informed that it is important for the contestants to make connections and only then can they reach the Bigg Boss OTT finale.

1. Karan started the premiere night with an electrifying performance.

2. Raqesh Bapat was the first contestant of Bigg Boss OTT. He danced his way into the show. Raqesh's first performance was on Jab Se Tere Naina. Pointing out similarities between him and Raqesh, the filmmaker mentioned that the actor agreed to do the show after being chased for a long time. 

3. Zeeshan Khan, who made headlines for wearing a bathrobe at the airport, was the second contestant of Bigg Boss OTT. Arriving in a bathrobe, Zeeshan shocked Karan. When asked about his bathrobe act, Zeeshan said he doesn't like to follow the norms but question them. He also made Karan dance to Radha in a bathrobe.

4. The third contestant is Milind Gaba. Karan went on to ask Milind about his OTT quality. 

5. The fourth contestant was choreographer Nishant Bhat. The star choreographer, who was a regular on Dance Deewane, performed on Bollywood songs. His friends Arjun Bijlani and Karan Wahi also shook a leg with him.

6. Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa actor Karan Nath was the 5th contestant of Bigg Boss OTT. He went missing from showbiz and after a long gap, he is back in the game.

7. Contestant no. 6 was Pratik Sehajpal. Calling himself 'Karma', Pratik had a brief banter with Karan, Zeeshan, Nishant, Milind, and Raqesh. The other men felt Pratik was overconfident. It seems Pratik and Zeeshan will have altercations during Bigg Boss OTT.

8. Malaika Arora added a punch of spice and fun. She arrived on the stage dancing to Kriti Sanon's song Param Sundari from Mimi. Before introducing the heroines of Bigg Boss OTT, Malaika took a masterclass with the male contestants. Zeeshan and Milind had to give the flexibility test. Karan, Nishant, Raqesh and Pratik were given the task to impress Malaika.

9. On August 3, PeepingMoon.com exclusively informed its readers that Shamita Shetty is participating in Bigg Boss OTT. The actress, who was already a contestant of Bigg Boss in 2009, has returned to the show after 12 years. As contestant no. 7, she made a stunning entry on the stage and danced to her song Sharara from the film Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002). Shamita was asked to select two male contestants as her connection. However, after a bhel making competition between Raqesh and Karan, Shamita chose the former. 

10. Social media influencer Urfi Javed made an 'OTT' entry inside the house. Flirting with Karan, Urfi became the P.H.A.T girl of Bigg Boss OTT. With her bubbly side, Urfi impressed Karan. She said that though she isn't sure about actors, she wants to flirt with good looking directors like Karan. Contestant 8 Urfi went on to call herself 'Desi Kareena Kapoor Khan'. Urfi selected Karan and Zeeshan for the connections test. After the test, she chose Zeeshan as her pair. 

11. Urfi entered the house and met Shamita. They were seen talking about Pratik and his overall attitude. 

12. Contestant no. 9 was Neha Bhasin. Known for songs like Swag Se Swagat, Dhunki and many others. Calling herself OTT in terms of fashion, Neha had a fun interaction with Karan. Pratik and Milind were chosen by Neha for the connections test. They had to wear heels, colourful wigs and skirts to impress her. Neha chose Milind and they became the third pair of Bigg Boss OTT. 

13. Contestant no. 10 was Moose Jattana. A self-proclaimed fan of herself, Moose aka Muskaan had a fun banter with Karan. An NRI from Australia who doubles up as a social activist, Moose called herself nikammi yet cute. 

14. Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh became contestant no. 11. She chose Pratik as her connection. 

15. Divya Agarwal was contestant no. 12. She revealed that she was a background artist in Karan's Student Of The Year.

16. Ridhima Pandit was the 13th contestant. She said she has a bit of Poo and a bit of Parvati. She was the last contestant. Karan, the only male contestant left without a connection, was given a chance to select between Divya and Ridhima. He chose the latter. Divya, who was left without a partner, got nominated for eviction. 

17. The contestants got negative vibes from Pratik and had an argument with him. Bigg Boss announced a twist. Though the male contestants got their luggage, the female contestants have to wait for some time.
