Bigg Boss 18 is all set to kick off its new season on October 6 and viewers are eagerly looking forward to Salman Khan hosting once again. With all the excitement surrounding the upcoming season a recent piece by The Indian Express has unveiled some thrilling details. Actress Shilpa Shirodkar, who happens to be the sister of Namrata Shirodkar and sister-in-law of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, is set to join the Bigg Boss house as a contestant.
Shilpa made her entry into Bollywood in Ramesh Sippy's film Bhrashtachar (1989) where she starred alongside Mithun Chakraborty and Rekha. She has had a career in the industry being part of successful movies such as Kishen Kanhaiya (1990) with Anil Kapoor Trinetra (1991) Hum (1991) Khuda Gawah (1992) Aankhen (1993) and Mrityudand (1997). After taking a break from films Shilpa returned to the spotlight in television with Zee TV's Ek Mutthi Aasmaan in 2013.
The report also suggests that besides Shilpa, well known personalities such as actress Nyrraa Banerji recognized for her appearance in Khatron Ke Khiladi and actors Shoaib Ibrahim and Dheeraj Dhoopar are expected to be part of the Bigg Boss 18 cast. However, it seems that actress Isha Koppikar who was initially rumoured to join the show has decided not to participate.
With viewers excitedly counting down to the start of the series Bigg Boss is set to deliver a mix of drama thrill and surprises under the guidance of Salman Khan.
The excitement for the upcoming season reached new heights with the release of a teaser trailer showcasing Salman Khan introducing the unique theme for this season Time Ka Tandav which means the Havoc of Time. In the latest promo Salman dressed in a shirt and a black suit is seen sitting on a massive ticking clock. He revealed that this season will take an approach by not only looking at the present but also delving into the past and future of the contestants.
