Bigg Boss 18: Muskan Bamne shares, ‘I’ve never stayed away from my family before’

Muskan Bamne, best known for her portrayal of Pakhi Shah in Anupamaa, is the latest contestant to join the Bigg Boss 18 house. In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, the actor opened up about her excitement for being part of the popular reality show, her admiration for host Salman Khan, and her expectations from this new chapter in her career.

When asked what motivated her to take the plunge into the reality show world, Muskan revealed that her love for Salman Khan played a significant role. “Salman Sir was a big reason,” Muskan shared, adding that the opportunity to grow as a person in such an isolated environment appealed to her. "I’ve never stayed away from my family before, so this will be a good experience."

Muskan also touched on the conflicts that often arise in the Bigg Boss house and how she plans to handle them. “I want to be myself and let people see my true personality,” she explained. While acknowledging that reality TV can sometimes expose contestants to negativity, she said she’s approaching the show with a fresh mindset. "I don't have any preconceived notions. I’ll be my normal self and try to keep my mental health intact, even if there are conflicts."

The Anupamaa star also addressed how she plans to manage the pressure of being in the public eye. “Audiences have seen me fight on-screen in Anupamaa, so it won’t be new for them if they see me in arguments on Bigg Boss,” Muskan admitted, adding that it might be more surprising for her family, as they know her to be more easygoing in real life. “I’m going in with a free mindset. I don't want to overthink and let things go wrong.”

On what she admires most about Salman Khan as a host, Muskan said, “He’s a pure-hearted person who’s always helping others. That’s why people love him, and that’s a big reason for his stardom.” She also praised the show for giving celebrities the chance to showcase their real personalities. “People get to see who we truly are, beyond the characters we play on TV. That’s a big part of what I love about Bigg Boss."

Muskan is now looking forward to exploring a new side of herself on Bigg Boss 18 and says she’s ready for whatever challenges come her way in the house.
