In the latest episode of Bigg Boss OTT 3, rapper Naezy, whose real name is Naved Sheikh, opened up about his past struggles and family opposition to his career in rapping. The rapper shared his experiences with fellow contestant Ranvir Shorey, revealing how his parents were initially against his passion for films and music.

Naezy recounted his clandestine love for movies during his childhood, saying, “Maine bohot movies dekhi hai jab main bada ho raha tha. Main ghar waalon se bach bach ke chup chup ke dekhta tha” (I’ve seen a lot of movies when I was growing up. I used to sneak and hide from my family so they wouldn’t find me watching films). He added that his family forbade all forms of entertainment, including theatre, TV, and music.

When asked by Ranvir Shorey if his family was orthodox, Naezy confirmed, “Yes.” Shorey further inquired about how he pursued a career in rapping despite the restrictions. Naezy explained, “Chup Chup ke. I became a rebel now. It wasn't easy to convince my parents but kis hadh tak main kamiyab hua. Ab 10 saal hogaye na mujhe, ab unko thoda toh samajhta hai ke jaane do, jo tera dil kar raha hai toh tu kar le. Tu galat hai, sahi hai woh allah ko pata hai, tujhe pata hai” (I used to do it secretly. Now I’ve become a rebel. It wasn't easy to convince my parents. It’s been 10 years now, and they somewhat started to understand. Now they tell me, ‘Go ahead and do what you love. Whether right or wrong, only Allah knows and you know.’ That’s the understanding we have now).

Naezy also shared how other family members provoked his parents, adding to the difficulty of his journey. Shorey responded sympathetically, noting that people often instigate parents out of jealousy for someone else's success.
