Shiv Sena demands ban on Bigg Boss OTT 3 over alleged obscene content after video of Armaan Malik and his wife Kritika goes viral

Bigg Boss OTT 3 is making headlines for all the wrong reasons, with the latest controversy involving contestant Armaan Malik, who entered the house with his two wives, Kritika and Payal Malik.

On Monday (July 22), Shiv Sena leader and spokesperson Kritika MalikManisha Kayande demanded the telecast of the reality show be stopped, citing obscene content in a recent episode. Kayande met Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar to make her case, according to a release.

Kayande highlighted that the episode aired on July 18 showed Armaan Malik in an intimate moment with his second wife, Kritika Malik, under the covers in the Bigg Boss bedroom. She claimed the couple "trampled upon all boundaries of human relations and social norms."

"Even kids watch the show, and it impacts them," Kayande said, calling for the show to be stopped and a case filed under cybercrime laws against the show's producers and the CEO of the broadcasting company. "Bigg Boss is no longer a family show. Armaan Malik and Kritika Malik crossed all the limits," she added.

The demand for a ban on Bigg Boss OTT 3 comes amidst viewers interpreting the footage as an intimate moment, while others claim the second part of the viral video might be edited content spliced from the international version of the show, Big Brother.

Armaan's first wife, Payal Malik, who was evicted from the show, defended her husband, claiming the clip was fake. In her vlog, she asserted that the video was edited. "Whoever has shared the video claiming it is Armaan and Kritika’s, I would request them with folded hands to stop. The video is edited. I have stayed in the Bigg Boss house and I can say that there are no lamps like the ones seen in the viral clip. The blanket is also different. Those who have stayed inside the house will quickly understand that the clip is fake," said Payal.

After leaving the house, Payal expressed her intent to move out once Armaan and Kritika return from the show. She stated that the trolling was affecting her and the kids badly. "I am done with the drama and the hate. As long as it was about me, I was okay, but now the hate is coming to my kids. This is so shocking and disgusting. I have decided to part ways with Armaan for the same reason. He can stay with Kritika while I’ll take care of the kids," she said in her vlog.

Armaan and Payal married in 2011 and have a son named Chirayu Malik. Armaan married Payal’s best friend, Kritika, in 2018. The trio lives together with their four kids.
