Bigg Boss OTT 3: Payal Malik files defamation case against trolls and harassers

Payal Malik, ex-Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant and YouTuber Armaan Malik's wife, has taken legal action against individuals who have threatened and defamed her. Recently, Payal shared a video on Instagram addressing the trolling and harassment she has faced. In the video, she revealed that she has filed a defamation case and that those involved will soon receive legal notices.

"So far, I was being trolled, and I don't have a problem with that. When a person achieves great heights, they do face trolling. But now, I'm receiving a lot of threats," Payal stated. She further emphasized, "Those who are defaming me and my family, I've come here to file a defamation case against them."

Payal added, "Now, whatever happens, you will have to face it because you people are doing all these. I've given the names here. Those people will get notices soon whose names I've shared here." She accompanied the video with a folded hands emoji, expressing her determination to address the issue.

Payal's decision to take legal action follows her eviction from Bigg Boss OTT 3. Meanwhile, her husband Armaan Malik, and his second wife, Kritika Malik, remain contestants on the show.

This move comes in the wake of JioCinema filing a case in the cybercell against a fake and fabricated video involving Armaan and Kritika. JioCinema released a statement, clarifying their position: "JioCinema adheres to strict programming standards and guidelines to ensure quality and appropriateness of any content that streams on our platform. Bigg Boss OTT, which was streamed on JioCinema, did not have any such content."

The statement further read, "The video clip in circulation is doctored to include obscenity and is fake. We are committed to protecting the integrity of JioCinema and the trust our viewers place in us. The creation and circulation of this fake clip is a matter of very serious concern."

Payal's legal steps highlight her resolve to combat the defamation and harassment she has endured, ensuring that those responsible are held accountable.
