Versatile actor Ranvir Shorey has recently revealed his deeply personal motivation for participating in Bigg Boss OTT 3. During a press conference with the top seven contestants, Shorey addressed various rumours and shared his heartfelt intentions, focusing on his son, Haroon.
Contrary to speculation, Shorey's decision to join the reality show was not primarily to revive his career. He had offers from two different reality shows and chose Bigg Boss OTT 3 due to the absence of other work commitments at the time. His choice was driven by a profound and personal reason—his son Haroon.
Ranvir Shorey disclosed that he aims to use the Rs 25 lakh prize money from the show for Haroon's college education. Haroon, whom Shorey co-parents with his ex-wife Konkona Sen Sharma, is a central figure in Shorey's life. The actor's concern for his son's education and future was evident during the press conference.
"My son was out of the country, so I wanted to come here," Shorey explained. "He is 13 years old, and I want him to start living his life with a man around him." This statement underscores Shorey's commitment to being a present and active father, ensuring Haroon has a stable and supportive environment.
In a lighter moment on the show, Shorey joked about the prize money, emphasizing the importance of both the trophy and the prize. "It is not like that," he clarified, highlighting his primary goal of securing the prize money for Haroon's college expenses. Despite his humor, the seriousness of his intent was clear, showing that his participation in the show has a significant purpose.
Viewers of Bigg Boss OTT 3 have noticed Shorey's simple and often worn-out attire on the show. However, a recent episode surprised everyone when he appeared in a designer suit. This unexpected wardrobe upgrade was a gift from Shehnaaz Gill, whom Shorey initially mistook for a fashion designer. This moment added a touch of humor and light-heartedness to the intense environment of the show.
Bigg Boss OTT 3 features a diverse cast, including contestants like Sana Makbul Khan, Sai Ketan Rao, Lovekesh Kataria, and Vishal Pandey, among others. This diversity keeps the audience engaged with various personalities and stories.
Ranvir Shorey and Konkona Sen Sharma, both acclaimed actors, married in 2010 and divorced in 2020. Despite their separation, they continue to co-parent Haroon, ensuring he has support and guidance from both parents. Shorey's participation in Bigg Boss OTT 3 highlights his dedication to providing for his son's future and being an involved father.
