Golmaal Again hit the box office this year on Diwali and the horror comedy quickly become every moviegoer’s top pick for the season. The fourth installment of Rohit Shetty’s comedy franchise hit the ₹100 crore mark only four days after its release. For now, Golmaal Again has made a total of ₹201.43 cr. The film marks the tenth collaboration of Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty’s power packed duo and its Shetty’s second film to score a double century on the box office, and Devgn’s first. On being asked about his success with Ajay, Rohit responded to a leading tabloid by saying, “Ajay and I never take our success for granted. There’s never been a day when Ajay has said, ‘Koi farq nahi padta, dekhi jaayegi’, and it’s the same with me. I think that is what works for us”.

Rohit was overwhelmed by the response the movie received and announced that the franchise will receive a fifth installment only days after the release of Golmaal Again. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh also announced on Twitter that the lack of screens and new releases haven’t proven to be an obstacle for the horror comedy. “And it’s a DOUBLE CENTURY... #GolmaalAgain crosses ₹ 200 cr... The Golmaal series first made an appearance on the big screens in 2006. The franchise regulars - Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu - were joined by Parineeti Chopra and Tabu for the fourth film.
