Varun Dhawan starrer October has become the talk of the town with how Shoojit Sircar has shown a very beautiful story of love. Portraying Varun Dhawan as Dan and Banita Sandhu as Shiuli, the film revolves around the beautiful lives of the two young souls, deep in love.

Many celebrities took it to social media to applaud the film for its massive opening, heart-wrenching plot and commendable performance by the whole team. The film which opened with some of the best reviews and positive word of mouth has seen a massive jump on day two earning a 7.47cr making it a sum total of 12.51cr.

Day two has seen a grown from the metro and multiple audiences. The film had a decent opening considering the genre of the film. Not being a stereotypical entertainment film, the movie is surely doing well at the Box Office. Hichki had bagged 15 crores in the first week while Baaghi 2 hit a century (100 crores) in the first week itself. The team of October is praying the same fate for their film.

The critical acclaim and the positive word of mouth has played a strong role in the increase of footfalls in the theatre. The film is expected to be as strong on Sunday considering it's a weekend. Let's hope the best for October.

Earlier, Varun had stated that he did not do October thinking of box office numbers. He went by his pure instinct and had followed through with Shoojit for almost a year to cast him in his film. Shoojit too was all praises for Varun and has termed it his best performance to date. And rightly so, he has earned it. Critics also were all praises for debutante Banita who herself admitted to being scared out of her guts for how the movie's review will go about.
