Director Rajkumar Hirani's latest Bollywood offering, Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt, is making Box Office go wild even after more than two weeks of its release. The film has finally crossed the landmark of Rs 300 crore and is eyeing to beat the lifetime collection of three big entertainers from the past -- Tiger Zinda Hai, PK and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Sanju's pace at the ticket window has been quite steady so far. While it had collected Rs 50 crore on its second day itself, it went on to create the following benchmarks later:
Day 3 - Rs 100 cr
Day 5 - Rs 150 cr
Day 7 - Rs 200 cr
Day 10 - Rs 250 cr
Day 16 - Rs 300 cr

Sanju raking in this much moolah is significant. The movie didn't see any big festive release. It was promoted heavily, however, it didn't have a strong star power. The only two things that seemed to have worked in the favour of the films are Hirani's style of filmmaking and a curiosity to know about the life of Dutt. The excitement that Ranbir's look and his body language created among audience also added to the fervour.
With Shaad Ali's latest release, Soorma showing mild business and Hollywood film, Ant-Man and The Wasp just assuring a nice turnout at theatres, Sanju has got another five days to perform before Dhadak strikes the theatres and share some business.
As is, it will be interesting to see what more records does Sanju make at the Box Office!
