Amitabh Bachchan’s and Aamir Khan’s new film Thugs Of Hindostan recorded highest opening day collections ever at the box office as the Hindi version of the film earned Rs 50.75 crore while the Tamil and Telugu versions fared Rs 1.50 crore. The film, thus, earned an impressive total of Rs 52.25 crore on the first day of its release on November 8.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures, saying that “tremendous hype” and “massive screen count” apart from the fact that it released on the Diwali holiday helped the film to earn an impressive total.

Adarsh also wrote that Thugs Of Hindostan has witnessed the highest opening day collection in 2018 so far followed by Sanju (Rs 34.75 crore), Race 3 (Rs 29.17 crore), Gold (Rs 25.25 crore) and Baaghi 2 (Rs 25.10 crore).

Thugs Of Hindostan is reported to be Bollywood’s most expensive film and co-stars Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film has opened to mixed reviews.
Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Badhaai Ho, which released on October 18 has been earning well since the first day of its release and has earned Rs 109.60 crore so far.
