Shah Rukh Khan's new film Zero witnessed a considerable decline in collections at the box office after Christmas and rounded off earnings in the first week with Rs 84.1 crore, reports suggest. Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero casts SRK as a vertically-challenged man while Anushka Sharma stars as a NASA scientist battling cerebral palsy. Katrina Kaif plays a glamorous superstar in the film.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted earlier this week that Zero's earnings increased on Christmas as the film fared Rs 12.75 crore on Tuesday. However, collections dropped subsequently after the national holiday as Zero managed to collect Rs 3.75 crore on its seventh day (Thursday) since its release.
