Simmba highlights several issues including the empowerment of women and fighting crime against women. It narrates Sangram Bhalerao’s journey as his character undergoes a valiant change in the film – from a corrupt cop, Bhalerao turns into a determined police officer, who sets out on a quest for justice to avenge a woman’s rape and subsequent death.
Simmba is the remake of Telugu film Temper and casts Sara Ali Khan opposite Ranveer. It is Sara’s second film after Kedarnath, which marked her debut in Bollywood. Simmba has been produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty Picturez.
