Like last year, 2019 also looks to be a great year for Bollywood as the films released this month are doing roaring business at the box office. Vicky Kaushal’s URI: The Surgical Strike and Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi are raking in the moolah at the box office. However, while going by the box office collections of the opening weekend Kangana’a Manikarnika on January 25 has overshadowed Vicky’s URI that released on January 11.
According to media reports, Manikarnika has collected Rs 8.75 crore on Day 1, Rs 18.1 crore on Day 2 and Rs 15.70 crore on Day 3- taking the total to Rs 42.55 crore. The film is doing exceptionally well in the Hindi belt of Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Rajasthan. Gujarat saw more than 100 percent growth over the weekend.
