Ajay Devgn has every reason to celebrate as his new film Total Dhamaal has been faring exceptionally well at the box office and has collected Rs 62.40 crore within three days of its release. Directed by Indra Kumar, Total Dhamaal is a comedy film co-starring Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Riteish Deshmukh and Arshad Warsi in the principle roles apart from Ajay.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures, adding that Total Dhamaal is the biggest non holiday opener ever for Ajay. His films Singham Returns and Golmaal Again had also recorded massive openings but the difference is that both films released on Independence Day and Diwali holidays respectively.

Total Dhamaal earned Rs 16.50 crore on its opening day followed by Rs 20.40 crore on Saturday and Rs 25.50 crore on Sunday – it amounts to Rs 62.40 crore.

Total Dhamaal is the third instalment of the successful franchise Dhamaal, which originally starred Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey and Riteish Deshmukh.
