Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Luka Chuppi and Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ashutosh Rana and Ranvir Shorey starrer Sonchiriya hit the silver screens on March 1. Although both the films cater to different audience, Luka Chuppi has emerged as a clear winner at the box-office.
The Kartik and Kriti starrer kick-started with great numbers at the box-office. The film which earned Rs 8.01 crore on its opening day to become the biggest opener in Kartik's career, witnessed a boost on its second day. The film has gone ahead and taken a big jump on second day. From single digit, the film has raked in Rs 10.08 crores on day 2, taking the total collection to 18.09 crores.

If the current trend is anything to go by, Luka Chuppi will see phenomenal growth on Sunday and Monday. Trade analysts believe that with an extended weekend and strong word of mouth and rave reviews, Luka Chuppi is surely to grow and do some incredible numbers.
On the other hand, Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiriya has failed to do wonders at the box-office. The film has fallen flat on the second day with minimal growth. While on Friday, it earned about 1.20 crore, Saturday saw a collection of about Rs 2.70 crore.
Well, Kartik’s fandom is surely large-based and everyone can’t get enough of this latest box-office prince.
