Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer Kesari, which hit the screens on Holi, is based on the true story of the Battle of Saragarhi fought between 21 courageous Sikhs and 10,000 Afghan invaders. The film managed to rake in Rs 21.50 crores at the box-office on the first day itself and recorded the highest opening day of 2019 by beating Ranveer Singh's Gully Boy.
Now on the fourth day, Kesari raked in Rs 21.51 crore, taking the total domestic business of the film to Rs 78.07 crore. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office figures of Kesari on Twitter. Here's what he wrote:

The film enjoyed a strong extended weekend and showed growth of around 15%. Taran further tweeted that IPL 2019 might have curtailed the growth of Kesari on Saturday evening and Sunday but solid ticket sales on weekdays will ensure a steady run for Kesari at the box office.
Interestingly, Kesari crossed the Rs 50 crore milestone in 3 days and Rs 75 crore by the end of its extended weekend. Not to forget, Kesari is Akshay's second biggest opening film after Gold, which fetched Rs 25 crore on its opening day.
At the box-office, Kesari is clashing at the box-office with Abhimanyu Dassani and Radhika Madan starrer Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota.
