Karan Johar's Student Of The Year 2, starring Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, released on May 10. Although the film is being slammed by critics, the new of batch of students have managed to impress the audience as the film is doing steady business at the box office. Even on a working Monday, with the festive season of Ramadan and IPL fever having gripped the audience, SOTY 2 is getting love from the audience across. The film has collected Rs 38.83 crores in its opening weekend and has emerged as a big grosser. The film recorded a good run of Rs 5.52 cr on a busy Monday and totals up to Rs 44.35 crore.
Student Of The Year 2 has yet again proved the fact that Tiger enjoys a massive fan following. Ananya and Tara too, are being oved in the college rom-com, making the trio a hit pair at the box-office. Well, it seems, fans are beating all odds and making sure that they watch Student of the Year 2 on the big screen. However, the fate of SOTY 2 depends on its average collections into the second week.

Directed by Punit Malhotra, SOTY 2 follows the life of Tiger (Rohan), Ananya (Shreya) and Tara (Mia) in the prestigious Saint Teresa's College. On the work front, Tiger will be next seen in an untitled film with Hrithik Roshan, Baaghi 3 and an official remake of Rambo while Ananya will star in Pati, Patni aur Woh and Tara will feature in Marjaavaan and RX100 remake.
