Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria starrer Student of The Year 2 had a promising start at the box office. The film opened with Rs 12.06 crore and saw a decent growth on its first Saturday. The film garnered Rs 14.02 crore on its second day and Rs 12.75 core on its third day. However, the collections dwindled on the fourth day and made only Rs 5.52 crore.
But now, after maintaining a steady collection the film has finally crossed the Rs 50 crore mark and crossed Rs 53.88 crore in six days. According to a ticket booking portal, SOTY 2 has become the highest grossing film in Mumbai in the last 24 hours.

Student of the Year 2 tells the story of Rohan Sachdev (Tiger Shroff) whose life takes a turn when he gets accepted to the prestigious St. Teresa College on a sports scholarship. He gets closer to realizing his dream of winning the inter-college Dignity Cup but must fend for himself against the college’s reigning champion (played by Aditya Seal) who is out to give him hell.
The film is directed by Punit Malhotra and is produced by Karan Johar under his production banner Dharma Productions.
